About
I work with family members who love and support someone living with severe mental illness. This is its own experience shaped by grief, exhaustion, uncertainty, and a particular kind of loneliness that comes from caring deeply for someone whose suffering you cannot fix. The weight of that role is rarely acknowledged or treated as something that warrants its own attention.
Individual therapy offers a space in which your experience—not only your loved one's—can be the focus. We attend to what the caregiving relationship has asked of you, what it has cost, and what it has meant.
